This year my health kept me from maintaining a garden, but I’ve found joy and comfort in the fresh offerings of local farm stands and farmers’ markets. Today my first elaborate soup of the season is simmering on the stove, warming my space. I’m reminded how generously the Land provides for all of us—and how sweet it is to share in that abundance before winter settles in.
